Hey Dude, I haven't checked the forum for a while..Im back and reading peoples responses. Anyhow, absolutely I am aware of the various discount programs and promos that are available in the marketplace by various organizations whether it be through the manufacturer or the Insurance Underwriter. All I am saying is that I don't know very many people who were able to get their hands on an Insurance premium of exactly $3050.00 per year for primary driver etc. I got a phenomenal rate, and I realize that! For Toronto market demogrpahics that is of course! I mean in the end it all has to do with many variables.

 

Student Discount?? Student Discount on a G35COUPE?? HUH? Give me a break..a student with a $50,000 plus vehicle? I've never heard of Insurance discounts? It does not exist, it only exist in the form of GRAD programs through car manufacturer on the MSRP of the vehicle etc.

 

it doesn't matter what car you drive, they just give discont to university students. something you never heard of doesn't mean it's not there. It is true becuz i know two of my friends driving a new RSX and TSX are getting the student discont right now! (both primary driver, no secondary driver) And guess what, RSX might have a higher insurance rate than the G35C due to collision and stolen rate. It's not the price of the car that matters dude!!! The prelude probably worth 15000 right now will have higher insurance rate than the G35C!!! (and i am sure about this because i just switch from prelude to G35C)

G35C is a 50000+ car but that does not mean it will have a higher insurance rate!!! I am 21 right now and have a major at-fault collision, and i am the primary driver for this car, and i am paying 3K/year. However, my prelude got quote for around 4-5k if it i am the primary driver. You gotta realilze that G35C does not have a high insurance rate in comparison to other sports cars. G35C maybe worth three times my prelude, but ask any prelude drivers, prelude has a much higher insurance rate the G35C.

and yes, gimme a break, make a call yourself and find out about the student discont, i'm tired of replying this.
