That wasn't a commercial, that was a movie short! Nice sounds and photography.

We see a 30 second edited version of that around here.

Yes that is the long version of that commercial, and I never get tired of hearing those banshee screams from that engine. As Colin says "music to the ears"

Yes, quite a symphony of pistons!

What amazed me was the variety of countries shown and the empty streets in famous areas.

Very interesting video Ian. I wonder how our fuels in NA would check out in those tests.

Hmmm, now that was interesting. We have almost no Shell stations around here though and I wonder how our various fuels around here compare.

We have no Shell stations around my area either Deane (at least none that I can think of within 35kms).

Interesting vid, Ian.....and bares out what we suspected up to now, that if your engine can take advantage of the higher octane fuel, certain 'better' fuels will allow it to.....

Now we have to see if our fuels here in N/A are the same as in the UK. hmmmm.

I have a hunch that more members will give the Shell V-Power a try...

I'm only part way thru my evaluation, so no results yet on fuel consumption.

tnx for sharing.

C.

Just did some searching. We have 7 of them in the Metro area. The closest one is about 6-7 kms away but not far from where I often am 3-4 days a week.

I just switched to shell V-power recently. Honestly I can't tell the difference in power. However, in relation to cranking, I did notice my cranks have shortened a bit. I think I'll be sticking with shell now...

Yes the few ponies it provides won't be butt noticeable, but startup and mpg's should be........

Good to hear that you noticed a diff.

^ I can't remember the last time I tried to check my MPG lol. I just fill up when I need to...

As for cranking, I forgot to mention that I have 13.5lb Lightweight battery, cranking is longer than stock and I noticed with V-power, makes a bigger difference now that I flushed out all the Sunoco 94.

Fast question, can anyone speak for ESSO in terms of quality of their 91 octane fuel?

Welcome, bdg55, glad to have you along.....

I'm in the midst of switching/testing from Petro-Can to Shell V-Power (91) ---All indications so far are that it's an improvement...

I haven't used Esso for a long time now, but I expect that there are some G's here who use it....
Let us know how it compares for you.

Colin.

I'd like to know that too but it seems based on this thread that all others use Ethanol except for Shell 91 Octane or Gold.

I like Esso as it is convenient and like the speedpass but Shell has a speedpass and there a few stations near me so I'm going to try it out. Got nothing to lose and something to gain.
