The Constable on the phone found it funny that they didn't take the Stereo or airbags. I said, it's probably the work of some punk kids.

Thanks again guys for all your well wishes.
After driving this weekend to Ottawa, I have to say, I appreciate my G even more. The Altima is not that comfortable!

I have a question for the tint experts. They replaced the tint on both doors on the driver side. I asked if the tint matches all the other windows, and the body shop said yes. Wouldn't new tint and almost 5 year old tint look different now? Should I ask that all the tint get re-done for uniformity?
I was thinking that I'll go and take a look at it when the car is ready, and if I'm not happy, I'll ask for it all to be done, but I'm not sure if I can or not.

I believe the better tints will not deteriorate noticeably in 4-5 years. In any event it's probably only $150 or so to have a few more windows done in the same new stuff. It's probably reasonable to ask for that if there is a difference.

I picked up the car last night. Looks great, with the exception of a couple of things...
My tint is off. When I'm in the car, and I look out, it's green, my other side is charcoal. Also, it's not the same shade. I have 35% in the front and one shade darker in the rear. The tinter is suppose to come by to take a look at the car.
My interior, needs a good cleaning. I asked the body shop what they did, and they said, all they do is wipe it down with a chamois. The interior feels like there is some residue all over the place and the shine is gone.
I'll post some pics one the car is cleaned up, got a little dirty from yesterday's rain.
Thanks again guys.

Wow, that was fast. Glad to see you have the car back. Man, why do I always get stuck with lengthy repair shops. First 3 months at Lyons Autobody after some broad veers off-road into my driveway. Now my G has been at 401 Auto Collision for 3 weeks to repair some rust spots on the door pillar (They are replacing the entire door after I spent hours dynamating it...arghh) and door steps under warranty. Anyways, I'm rambling on... Just need to vent. Woe is me... Sorry this is your sob story, not trying to hi-jack your thread Just curious where you had the repairs done. I swear, one more week and I'm gonna stick a popcharger in the Alty rental!

Klubjunkee, sorry to hear about your ordeal with the body shops. Man, that must suck. I thought it would have been 1.5 to 2 weeks, but they got it back to me in a weeks time. I had all the repair work done at Imperial Auto Collision located at Erin Mills and Battleford in Mississauga. Talk to Richard, tell him I recommended you (Tauseef).
No worries about hijacking my thread, it's all good!
Thanks Colin and RBull (it's Deane right?). I already spoke to the body shop, they said when I go back to get my doggy door lid replaced (should be in next week) they will take care of the rest for me. As for the tint issue, I have to call him back today to schedule some time to meet up.
