Well it took longer than I thought, but I got everything nailed down this morning. HR and I came to an agreement about salary and I have officially accepted this new position this morning. To be honest, I am a little nervous . I've been in a technical role my entire career, so this new position will definitely be a switch for me. But I guess success lives outside the comfort zone.
Also, I got to keep half of my Paternity leave as well so at least I'll have the first couple of weeks in July off.

A very big CONGRATULATIONS Shane. I'm sure you made a wise decision. I did a change years ago and also turned down another offer even though it would have been more cash. I never regreted my decisions and was always very happy in my choices.
I'll buy you a drink in another couple weeks , Cheers
