Nothing got decided today. I wasn't able to meet with HR today to discuss any details. Hopefully I'll know more tomorrow.

Good luck with this, I hope you get what your asking.

I guess this means you will not be working from home any more? Will this affect your "G35Driver " time?

I will still be able to work from home, but probably not to the extent that I do now. More than likely, my time here will be affected as well.

Pretty safe bets I would think, if the offer works out for you.

Congrats Shane! Good luck, and go with your gut. I have done that every time I am in a situation with a big decision, and have never made a poor one yet as far as I am concerned.

Congrats again - either way - and keep us posted.

Well it took longer than I thought, but I got everything nailed down this morning. HR and I came to an agreement about salary and I have officially accepted this new position this morning. To be honest, I am a little nervous . I've been in a technical role my entire career, so this new position will definitely be a switch for me. But I guess success lives outside the comfort zone.

Also, I got to keep half of my Paternity leave as well so at least I'll have the first couple of weeks in July off.

ps. shane... i got a question for u about networks and wireless routers... maybe u can help me out. i'll pm it to u.

A very big CONGRATULATIONS Shane. I'm sure you made a wise decision. I did a change years ago and also turned down another offer even though it would have been more cash. I never regreted my decisions and was always very happy in my choices.

I'll buy you a drink in another couple weeks , Cheers
