His install is fine.......No leaks.....

.......but, the studs remain since we had the spacer in b4 realizing the error.... .....

They shouldn't be difficult to remove with either a torx tool, or vise grips (cringe)......if necessary.
There is enough of the stud showing to work with.

If worst came to worst and the plunum cover had to be lifted again, it really isn't any big deal.
Roy is watching and listening for leaks in the interim.

When and if you get back at it, Roy, remember to not overtorque those bolts....and recheck after a couple hundred clicks.....
