Help Please--Excessive Tire Roar

I need your help guys. I have very excessive tire roar when braking especially at low speeds (40-30 KM). I have taken my car to the dealer (Oakville) and they did balance and allignment which they claimed will fix the problem. However its still not fixed. They are trying to blaim the Tein springs that i have installed. They also checked the brakes and said they were good. I dont know if they trying to avoid fixing something and i dont know what else to do. Has anyone come across this before. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hey~ ya same here i got the same problem.... I went to the dealership too... and i got the same response.. but i don't think the tire sound will go right away.... you have to ride it for a bit.... till all the sides of the tires are wearing equally.

I'm not a big help but cheers

This is a common issue now and probably not related to balance and alingment

'Phone around to different steelerships and find out who is familiar with the issue, who has experience in fixing it, and who would like to do the warranty job for you.

Apparantly it involves new suspenion parts and is a condition that is recognized by INfiniti on pre-'05 coupes.

A call to Infiniti Canada would be a good move too. (800-361-4792)

My bad on missing the year....

If I were you I'd still bitch like the dickens to Infiniti about that....It's a good bet that it's the same problem we had on our '03 coupe....

i'm going through this hell right now. imho.... u will suffer through this problem on every set of tires u buy. the dealership also gave me the same spiel about my alignment being off... blah blah... only way to fix it is with new tires and re-alignment. here was my recent thread/rant about it:

https://g35driver.com/forums/canada/165862-pissed-tire-feathering-scratched-window.html

i've only got about 17,000 km's on my tires... which is sad.

I had this problem with every set of high-performance summer performance tires I ever had on my last 3 BMWs over the course of 16 years before buying the G35: '88 325is - several sets of Yokohama AVS Intermediate, '90 535iM - Yoko 509, '91 M5 - Bridgestone Potenza RE730. In addition to the rumble/roar, they all "tram-lined" horribly once they had some miles on them.

The "solution" was to use HP all season tires instead - I used Michelin Pilot Sport AS on the M5 with good results and no noise and the handling was fine. The only problem I had was slight block tear-out due to excessive wheelspin...

Unless you're autocrossing or running on the track, pure summer tires are a waste of money for street use on any car IMO - too noisy, too harsh, not durable. YMMV...
