okay my stupid cd player dosnt work anymore ERR FO so I decied to buy a D3 from Future shop.... Where Can I get the double din Kit from... and how much are they...??? I have a 04 G35 coupe.... any ideas guys?

Are you planning to do the install yourself or do you know somewhere in the GTA that does it? I've been wanting to get a DDIN kit but from the DIYs I looked over, it doesn't look that easy.

 

I just got the Pioneer Z2 DD I got it from Autotemp air and sound they used the "Metra DD kit" I paid $300 I think you can get them on Ebay cheaper. It looks alright the buttons are differnt than factory but the color match is good.

 

Did you buy the D3 already if so how much did you pay?? Cost on that unit is around $950 usually they arent marked up much though. It might help negotiating if you have not already bought the unit.

Hey I'm an installer at the Newmarket Futureshop... I can install it for you. you just need to buy the kit from somewhere else. this is the cheapest I've found the kit for: http://www.installer.com/item/displa...php?it=99-7604 it will take longer than the average deck to do only because it's a maze to take apart the car.

I'm interested in knowing how much you're charging for installation as well and if you don't mind me asking, how much can Futureshop employees get the Avic D3 for, is it marked up quite a bit?

 

well a friend told me he can get it for around 760.. with his discount./.. but cant do it for awhile...;(

 

Damn guess I need to find someone that works at Futureshop or Bestbuy...$1200 is ridiculous when a lot of online stores in the states are selling em for $700

as for installation if I go through the store chances are I'll have to charge 200 (because it takes forever and it's a DVD-nav setup) if I was to do it on a day off I'd say 75 or so... I'd have to see the kit though in order to give a proper estimate. PM me if you're interested.
