Friend of mine is looking at a 2005 G35 6MT sedan and it's going for $23k USD. Much cheaper than anything we can find in Canada by about $4-5K.

Question is mainly about switching out the speedo for KPH. I thought someone here had it done but all my searches are not getting me anywhere.

I swapped my cluster from MPH to KPH being the dominant. It is a direct bolt/plug in. I bought a NISMO cluster from Japan it was super expensive (close to $1000 after shipping duty ect) and very hard to find( lots of place said they could get it but after ordering it they said they couldnt get them anymore). You shouldnt have too much trouble finding a wrote off car to get a cluster from. 03-04 are differnt than 05-06 stick with the same year cluster to avoid issues such as interior lights not comming on when opening the doors and windows not going up and down when doors open. 4-5k savings is that after 6%GST,6%Duty, RIV,OOP inspection(day time running lights installed) and shipping costs that will be 3-5k right there. Just something to be aware of there are more costs than just buying the car mine cost me $5-6k more than the inital cost of the car by the time it was legally registared in Alberta. Good Luck.
