they're not illegal if they pass emissions. Getting insurance to cover FI mods is a completely different story though.

but generally speaking anyone who goes FI usually uses test pipes, which are illegal due to emissions.

 

If you live in Alberta no emissions to pass so anything goes.

 

It is not illegal to have FI on your vehicle in Ontario.

 

i want a vortech supercharger but im dead broke =[ haha

So its not likely for the vortech mod to pass emissions test?

 

Vortech does have a 50 state CARB legal kit that is supposed to pass emissions tests.
