So disconnecting the battery will keep it alive? What are the downsides? I guess no alarm and losing radio settings?

Thanks
Not good to just start your car like that unless you take it for a drive to fully warm everything up. It does more harm than good to just start it.

Install a Battery Maintainer, hook it up and leave it for the winter, that's what I'm doing.

Here's a good one (get it on sale at Crappy Tire) I use this one.

I never store my G but would do same as I do to my CBR if I did, more or less. Wash, wax, lube chain, top tires, stablizer and full tank, battery tender, cover exhaust with paper bag and then plastic bag over that. On the center stand, no practical with G, place front tire on soft matt. Cover with bike cover and I never start her up till I ride in the Spring. Don't want moisture in the engine and that won't charge the batter. I've been doing storing my bike like this for 12 years. I do keep storage insurance on my bike. We don't get harsh winters on the West Coast so I drive during the winter. I'm no longer hard core so I don't ride all year round and the mountain roads aren't rideable. Cheers

I usually start it and leave it for about 15mins, but it does harm?

I would do a tender but I'm in condo garage so there's no outlets.

Unfortunately battery died. I bought the Battery Tender from Amazon from the link above, thanks guys.

So I'll have to yank the battery and charge it at home since my condo garage doesn't have an outlet.

Should I just keep the battery in the condo tendered by BT?

I heard if the battery is out of the car for too long, the ECU and some other electronics go wonky.

Well no battery = no alarm. Think about that one.
