Brakes Are your brakes squealing in the cold? Hawk's good?

So I just recently changed my rotors to stop tech and got new OEM brembo pads for 2003 brembo coupe.

Once it started getting cold, 10 degrees and under my brakes have been squealing like a pig when applying low braking pressure.......

so anyone have this as well? should i just get hawk's will that help with non-squealing?

My Brembos had a tiny squeak very sporadically when it was about 3-4 months old. It went away within a few months and I haven't heard a peep out of them for the next 3.5 years.

I did the same upgrade to ST Aeros and Hawks. You should have done the break-in. Breaking-in took an hour of sitting. They made noise for the first two months, but I believe that is because I was dragging the brakes. I delay my braking now, and apply more force. The noise is now gone, except when I cold start the car.

It sounds like you need to stop dragging your brakes before you switch pads at this point.

The linky is stinky, it doesn't tell you how to break in pads or the proceedure
to use to break them in. Like the link states, ya gotta get them hot soo......
here's the proceedure I used and it works damn good and no squeeks ever.
5 runs 45 mph to 10 mph
5 runs 35 mph to 10 mph
2 runs 65 mph to 10 mph
You'll notice during the break in you never come to a complete stop, that's so
the pad and disc doesn't make contact in one spot. After you've completed
the above proceedure take you car home and park it for several hours. You'll
notice when you walk away for your car the smell of hot metal.....you've done
your job now let it cool!
