Winter beater or better, suggestions?

Go for the beater

Hi all. I had the same problem. Picked up the "G" in June with intent of driving it in the winter. Up where I live we tend to get lots of horizontal snow and drifting. The ground clearance on the Coupe ain't the greatest. Couldn't see myself replacing the air dam at $???. So I took the $2000. for winter tires and rims and bought myself a 92, Olds 98 Royal ($1800.) Stored the G at my Mom's place (free), took the collision off(-$600) and just put PL-PD ($200) on the Olds. The "Boat" is great in the snow and I saved money on the deal.

Where abouts on Lake Huron shoreline, I am in Kincardine , land of the Horizontal Snow .

Yeah, I haven't seen a '92 Olds 98 in years!! inTgr8r is right, though, post up the G!! Welcome, we'll be waiting....

Getting a beater 1997 Jeep 175K's in mid Jan. Brother in Law is getting a new Civic so I get dibs on the Jeep.

-lift kit
-wheels + 36" Mud terrain tires
-roll bar
-8,000 # Warn winch
-skid plates
-etc, etc

We did a fair bit of that when I was a youngster, in my dad's ****** pickup that looked a fair bit like this one (but without the sissy scooter in the back!)
