FWIW, My mother in law had a 92 caprice classic with 80 000K on it. She passed on last Friday. I'm gonna stick with the jeep, but if anyone is interested,
She spent 1200 to get the e-test last year and her mechanic said 5000 as is would be a fair starting price. He offered to put it on his lot for 10%. He said there was a heating/overheating problem the last time it was on the Highway. That was probably 4 years ago, I was the one that drove it to TO and as I recall it was charging/battery problem that was rectified by a battery and alternator. Anyways he said the car was in very good shape. I asked him if he was interested. He said yes. I asked, how much? He said, 1800. Ahole. that's when he talked about the heating problem. He said it was never an issue because the car never went back on the highway.???????
Anyway, thought I'd mention it. Probably take 4grand as is. Port Hope, no snows. Big old boat, rear wheel. Like the cop cars used to be.

Get a used Mazda3 it's reliable cheap and fun to drive. I'm currently driving a 2003 Toyota Highlander for my winter car though.

I went into TO yesterday and transferred the ownership. Had to wait in line for about an hour. I couldn't bring her back cuz I can't drive two cars at the same time. We'll pick it up on the way back from Port Hope over the holidays.
I've never been off road ( on purpose anyways ) so it'll be a new experience for me. Maybe I'll bring er up and you can give me some lessons Sensi

Swerved when a jogger moving towards me decided to take over the road as well as the sidewalk. He never looked up just moved into my lane and continued running. The oncomming lane was occupied by vehicles so I horsed the car into a driveway, hit the crub, flipped the tercel ( 79 ) and landed on the roof with a landscape bolder beside me in the passanger's seat. Car was a WO but the guy was alive and no blood anywhere. Broke my arm away from my shoulder. They put it together with a 4" ( it seemed like 4") stainless wood screw.
And to top it off, the careless, blind sob told police I was going excessively fast and he had the right of way.
I was charged, but the judge threw it out as a witness came forward. We posted signs, date and place of trial etc. Good to see other people ( besides Wayne) doing their civic duty.
Good news was while I was recuperating I decided on a different path in life. Changed my job, changed my life.
