^^+1, I have been using Amsoil synthetic greases for about 25 years and I think they make a fantastic product.
Amsoil would be my choice. The only problem is the Amsoil products are not as readily available as many other brands.

I used it pre-G35 & liked it, so I continued with it.
I was also getting great results on my oil test samples with the G.

FWIW... Here's a comparo...... but take it with a grain of salt because it comes from the Amsoil site
I think from those in the know it's generally accepted Amsoil is #1. I wish their products were more easily attainable.

Yeah that was a problem & is why I became a distributor.
I think it cost me ~ $100 a year, but with the amount of oil I was buying (other vehicles) & the discount from retail it worked out pretty well.

BUT.... since they don't have a product for the Z4M, I let it slide.
I have seen some Amsoil product in CDN Tire lately though.

The landfills here actually inspect your load before letting you dump it.

Same here, usually they take a look at what you're chucking, but lately I've found they just ask.

Sorry for the confusion on oil disposal, yeah, there's a big tank where you pour your used oil, they even take the containers and filters, though I'm not sure what they do with the filters.

Re: Amsoil, there's a dealer near here, though I haven't used his services yet. I picked up a case on sale at PartSource early this year, just waiting for another sale so I can pick up another case or two, I'm down to 2 quarts. I've considered the distributorship myself for our vehicles and would like to offer to other local 'Drivers but am worried about being labeled a spammer.

I think the bottom line is this, if you reguarly change your oil most will be fine.
But if you are one of those that occasionally let it go a little longer then they should then you should carfully choose the oil that is best and will protect the engine.

What's sorta funny about that is he's actually right, it just sounds funny when he says it. Kinda like everything he ever said.

It's like Don Rumsfeld's "Unknown unknowns" thing; if you actually pay attention and are intelligent enough to follow it, what he says makes perfect sense. Really.

Sorry OP, for going so far off topic!!

^yes, you're right. It actually is correct but sounds like one of those answers from a beauty contestant.
