The snow just started here a few minutes ago. Looking forward to testing out my WS50s on the way home.

 

damn i hate snow..

 

Damn, it was some slippery driving on the way home today. It's freakin' incredible how quick people drive in conditions like today......what a bunch of f'ing morons. So needless to say I saw a number of accidents.

The Blizzaks performed great and I was able to corner and brake very well. Braking I found to be exceptional. I really get a kick out of people that think AS tires are sufficient for winter time driving. A good set of winter tires FTW!

 

Drove back from Oshawa to downtown TO yesterday afternoon - couldn't believe the number of idiots flying by in the left lane of the 401 going way faster than they should have been. Needless to say, most of 'em were SUVs and pickup trucks, but also a lot of minivans. WTF is wrong with those people?

It was the first time in almost 20 years that I'd driven a RWD car in the snow/ice, so I was taking it real easy, but I'm thrilled with how the new Blizzaks handled the slippery stuff. This is one awesome winter tire.

 

That's the million dollar question I tell ya. I would much rather take my time and arrive at my destination SAFELY, than risk damaging my car, my families life, or someone else's life. Like you, I just don't get it.

 

Damn it's starting to snow again! Cheap school doesn't properly salt/clean the snow in the parking lot . It was pretty hard to drive around the parking lot and wasn't all that fun walking to the entrance either.

Winters is still the best way to go on the AWD.

We've got at least 30cms down and it is still snowing hard. Thankfully, it is supposed to clear up this afternoon. The amount of snow that we got in this storm would be about equal to what we received the entire winter last year.

 

G35X or rwd makes no difference on the use of snow tires.
Both still have to stop & snows make a HUGE difference and are much safer.

 

We got well over a foot last night, & still coming down when I left.
There was so much at the back door, the dog couldn't get out to pee.
In front of the garage it was up past the first section of the garage door.
The only way I got out this a.m. was to follow the snow plow.
5km away, there was less than half that amount & driving wasn't too bad at all.

Worst part was... I couldn't get the GD snow blower to start

 

Wow we got no snow, it came down but blew away because of high winds. Inland from us lots of roads closed due to bad drifting and whiteouts.

Blower wouldn't start . Shame on you Ian, you must not maintain your Snow blower like your cars .

 

Yowsers Shane that is mucho snow at once. I bet your snowblower starts up no problemo

LOL... guilty as charged.
should have looked into it a month ago..... Oh well.

I just...
- replaced the plug
- repaired rotted primer line
- emptied the tank & topped up with fresh gas
....still no go, not even a cough or fart....
never was a fan of the Tecumseh engine.

 

Ouch, not a good time to have a blower that won't blow .
