Just drove home from Ajax

Hi all I'm new to posting but have been reading here for months. I just bought my 03 silver sedan late November and was told from the previous owner "this car is really bad in the snow".

But i must say after putting some Bridgestone Blizzaks on the car it was fantastic in all the conditions i encountered today, and I never felt out of control of the car. I was very impressed. Just thought i would share.

One question i have for you all. Is there a consensus on which synthetic oil is best for the G? Thank you all for your time. Oh yeah i have tried search with no results.

I put castrol syntec 5w30 in and it seems to be decent... Not sure what the 'best' is but you can spend lots of extra money I'm sure.

Welcome, Slikcat, glad to have you along.....

Your ride with Blizzaks on will be just fine.

I use Castrol Syntec 5W30 and Mobil 1 5W30 in my rides, but conventional oil (5W30) is fine if you don't want the extra cost.

Be sure you change it at the correct intervals...

Enjoy your new G (as much as you can in this crappy weather).....

C.

Castrol, Mobil-1, or Amsoil seem to be the consensus around here for synthetic oils...

I use Mobile 1 in mine and it seems to work great. It is always nice and clean when I drain it out as well.
