So I got my Pathfinder.....I think its a Lemon!
Well I took possession of my Pathfinder on Thursday I wish I could say I'm happy and excited but instead I'm pissed off and deeply concerned, upon pickup the salesman told me the in dash CD changer was broken so we agreed he would pay me $200. for me to buy my own deck, going home from the dealer that day the "service Engine" light goes on I call him and he agrees to fix it no charge so I leave it with him on Fri. Today I make an appointment to see my mechanic for him to check the tranny fluid and to check the A/C because I couldn't check it outside due to the cold weather, much to my surprise the A/C compressor is not turning on! By this time I'm furious because he assured me the A/C was working so I call the salesman and tare a strip off him because he lied to me, he insisted his mechanic checked it out ands tells me to call Monday when his mechanic is in. (updated today read below)To top all of this off I'm driving my truck today and the "Service Engine" light comes on again!
I am thinking of taking some legal action against this Dealership because this is totally unacceptable I went to the OMVIC site to day and was going to file a complaint but I can't really do so because they haven't refused to fix the problems YET. I will find out Monday to see what is going to happen.........beside all of this B.S I like this truck it drives great no squeaks or rattles its nice to have the 4WD and its pretty smooth on the HWY.
If any of you have advice as to what I should do I'm open to suggestions.

I read the armada's are the ranking really high for being unreliable. I woudl not accept $200 for a new deck it should be close to atleast $800 .
With all the problems i would say give me another one and if it has similar problems within 7 days i want a full refund. That way you atleast give them a few options but the problems you have are unacceptable.

Sorry to hear that, but didn't you take it for your own mechanical inspection before you bought it? I have always got my own inspection done on any used vehicle I bought, regardless if it's from a dealer or a private sale. Hopefully the dealership will step up and do something for you.

Unfortunately legal action through a lawyer will cost you far more than the repairs will. It's not a realistic approach. Your best recourse if you are unable to have the repairs made satisfactorily is to use small claims court.
RBull you're right I don't think I need a lawyer if it does come to that I will first submit a claim to OMVIC then if it doesn't get resolved I will take them to small claims I'll wait to see what they tell me tomorrow.
Well some good news today, I had to run some erins so I took the Pathfinder and the "service engine light went off, I think the reason for it going on yesterday was I took the air filter out to see what condition it was in I noticed some dirt in the filter so I tapped it out on both sides then stupid me dropped it, when I put it back in and turned the truck on the engine light came on so I think the MAF must have picked up some dirt. Anyway even though that problem is resolved its still no excuse for them Lying to me about the A/C not working.....its just unfortunate because the truck really does ride well and its in realy good shape I would really hate to take it back.

^good luck with the fixes. That sounds like what may have happened with your check engine light. The MAF on most cars are extremely sensitive. I've had them come on for no apparent reason and go back off forever on a couple of previous cars.
Hope it all gets sorted out to your satisfaction. The AC story really sux, but you should give them the chance to fix it for you. WRT the DECK, let him find and install one for the $200. I agree with SKperformance on that one.
I know how disappointed you feel. I just moved my winter beater, a 97 Grand Cherokee today so I could take the G for a spin to London. I did an oil change and it's been parked since I got it at the start of the Christmas break.
As I walked back to the G I noticed a large pink puddle right in the middle of where the Jeep was parked. No odor and quite slippery. My guess is that it's tranny fluid. WTF. I'll drive the G and have the Jeep towed to my mechanic as soon as he has the time to check it out. Got the Jeep from my brother in law at a very good price, so I'll swallow the cost and keep the repair to myself.
Can't yell at him because he was doing me a solid ( at the time ) and he'd never knowingly do me wrong. Stuff happens, eh.
When we get these vehicles sorted out we should have a Winter Beater Meater. I'll try to make some lemonade.
Why do I feel like Pollyanna.

Dealers usually take care of that stuff if it happens right away as your issues have. The check engine lights are sensitve at the very least the one on my Titan comes on if the gas cap is not tight enough. Good luck I hope they look after you.
