Automatic shift console to Manual look?

Question for you guys;

Do you guys know what parts I will need to make my Automatic shift **** into a boot like this:

I really am not a fan of the 03-05 AT console layout; and was hoping to make it look like that. The guy who did that; hasn't responded to the posts regarding it and a couple other GDrivers are hoping to figure out how to make it like that. Before the guy stopped responding; he told me the ring thing was from the 6MT G35. Do you guys have any suggestion on how to put the 6MT ring in the AT?

Would I have to remove the circle thing right now; and replace it with the leather boot and the ring; or do i just clamp it around the circle thing? Hope I make some sort of sense here.

LOL.... you really dug deep for that pic.
- he may be long gone by now.

I remember it from a few years ago.
It was completely custom but I don't recall the details on how he made the retaining ring.

If you pull out the center console, the AT ring is removable from the underside.
It's just a trim piece, you don't need it for the stick to function.

You might find a ring & boot from another car that you can adapt.
just remember to leave a small slot for the tranny unlock probe.

you need the shifter ****, the boot and the MT ring which is $10 at infiniti parts. This is the setup i want as well and I am planning to do this shortly, when I have time.

Thanks for the responses. Yeah I think he is long gone too; haha. Really love that look though. I was hoping I could just place this ring around the existing plate; and let the leather boot cover it.

Lawy'd; make sure you post a DIY; it would be great to see if you get similar results to that. I will buy all the parts and try it out; but I am pretty sure I will fail at doing anything effective; haha. So infiniti parts I can get it from; I thought that site was Riverside Infiniti?

Yes, yes I know... Well to start; I was too cheap to spend 3-5k more on a higher milage, 6MT G35 (only one in the city; infact still for sale; an 03 selling with 87k for 36k at the time)... I am just trying to make my interior look nicer; and I really hate the shifter. THe 05 shifter with the leather boot looks a whole lot nicer.

The ring shown on that first pic isn't quite right (a bit big). On the 6mt it actually is flush with the console.
