You've got a beautiful house Deane, it's a Palace to me.

Thanks. We liked yours too and especially the decor. I wouldn't mind having a garage the size of yours either.

Has anyone seen or heard from Brian lately? I don't think he has been back since he got blown away with those trail road pics.

That way it'll make it a little easier for getting together.
Ian, this place is only a couple of minutes from my house and is brand new. It just opened back in the fall. It looks nice from the outside, but I haven't been inside it though.

You mean this guy Deane? Nah, I haven't seen him lately.

Actually, I know that Brian was headed to Jamaica this month, but I forget the dates he said he was going. He hasn't logged onto Driver since the 7th, so he might be down there now.

Lol, I seem to be making lots of typos lately. Maybe it's my brain I should be asking about. ... or maybe it's that letter I just rewrote for Kuneff.

Yeah, that makes sense.

No problem Ian. From my understanding, you'll be spending one night in the Rothesay/Saint John area and Wayne will be staying two........does that sound about right?

Also, any word from Colin regarding this road trip? It would be great if him and Margaret could come too.

it'll be 2 nights in Rothesay..

Leaving Thursday, 2 days easy driving, we'd be arriving Fri night.
Then Sat St John, & head out to meet D&H Sunday a.m.

I think W&K will be there a day or two earlier.

Sweet, that's great that you are staying more than one night here. If you are interested in splitting up your two nights between Rothesay and Saint John let me know, and I can recommend a place in Saint John to stay as well.

I usually go around the horn at Riv du Loup...
I was considering the Maine route for something different.
Anyone know what the roads are like though there?

I did the Maine route from Quebec City last year and probably wouldn't do it again. You would be taking a different route through Maine than what I did though so that is good. I am very familiar with the route from Skowhegan right to the NB border and the road is good. The Airline (route 9) from Bangor to St. Stephen used to be brutal, however it's been all redone and in great shape now. It would be approximately 2.5 hours from Skowhegan to St. Stephen.

That's part of the route we used down and back for our meet in Lake Placid. I found the road fine.

First, it's nice to be back.
My computer is down since Wednesday (video card, I think). I pick it up Monday when we return from Peterborough. To make it worse no driver till this morning.

Shane, Karen and I will check out your Hotel link when we get back home on Monday.

We were actually going through the US to get there. We have driven it a couple of times. We will take our time going through the US and then will be staying at Rothesay/St John for at least 3 days.

Ian, when we drive through the US we cross by Gananoque, go down by Lake Placid, cut over to Bangor then up to St John, its a great drive.

It will be good to get back on my puter in a couple of days.

Thanks...
We just might give it a go just for something a little different.
It's also 200km shorter to St John.

You're welcome. I should have been more specific to I can only vouch for the route from Skowhegan as we stayed on the 9 down through Rumford etc.
