Re: Fuel gauge problem

Well, I took my car in today.. as expected, the service writer said there was no TSB so they wouldn't do anything about it. He said someone else had complained about the same problem last week though, so who knows.

They will be fixing my seat rocking problem though under warrenty, which if I remember correctly is only a TSB for sedans? Parts on order so we'll see if it fixes it or not.

Where are you located? I called up Alta and they knew all about the problem.

Re: Fuel gauge problem

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRG They changed the sender unit and that is not the culprit in my car. They are gonna order me a new gauge and see if that solves the problem.

Re: Fuel gauge problem

Thanks for letting us know. I'm surprised it wasn't the sending unit. Hopefully it's the gauge.

Re: Fuel gauge problem

Sam at Alta says he needs to order the part for me with this problem. I wonder if it's the sending unit he was referring to? Type R Boy is Alta's tester car. Nice!! j/k

I use Sunocco 94 octane gas and I topped it off $2.00 after first click and some gas spilled out of the car when I put the nozzle away. The gas tank read as before...one line below FULL. Boo-urns!

It's still a G thang!!

Re: Fuel gauge problem

By the way there are two fuel sending units in that car a high unit and a low unit, the high unit part number should be 25060-CD010. All depends on the year and model too sedan vs coupe.Good luck
