Are Personalized plates cool or stupid?

So I'm debating on whether or not to get personlized plates. I was thinking

GOBABYGO or something similar. Is it stupid or cool?

Well, personalized plates can be cool, but it all depends upon what you put... GOBABYGO is uncool in my book - you might be OK if you were FI though...

As a general rule of thumb you shouldn't put personalized plates on a car unless it's unique in and of itself or heavily modded to make it unique.

And it's $200 for personalized plates in Canada!?!?

JMO, but the last thing I'd want is to attract undue attention.
....especially in parking lots.

& I can think of better ways to spend $200

Get one, iff it's clever and/or witty.

If it's something cool or interesting or clever, fine, and best on a car that's at least a bit unique. If you put "TUNDRA" on the back of your Toyota Tundra, you should have stuck that $200 in your pants and lit it on fire.

i like rijowysock's plate because its clever and witty "GFTMFW".. how sick is that you if you see it because mostly forum people use it and you would actually understand it while most people won't... its a very clever witty plate!

Depends on the car and depends on the word. I had "MMMMM" on my M5. Three meanings, you figure them out.

The G will not be getting a personalized plate - I've got better ways to spend the $200 right now.

Here's the old bucket, all dirty with winter boots.
