Rear Differential oil, where do you get it from

For those of you who change your own rear differential oil, where do you buy it from? I checked Crappy tire and part source, they only carry motormaster stuff. Looking for the good stuff, Amsoil, Mobil 1 etc....

Thanks

Peter

I looked up an Amsoil dealer from their website. Found a local guy to me, sells it out of his house, been going to him for a few years now...

I've always used Lucas Synthetic (Diff and Tranny lube) available at Parts Source......and at some CTC's.
It's a little more costly but worth it IMHO.

I don't remember for sure, but do the LSD diffs require a different lube? (c/w friction modifier)

That's what I wondered, but I didn't see it in the service manual.

Apparently not. The unit used on these cars isn't a clutch pack-torsen. My understanding is the viscous fluid in our VLSD is separate from the diff fluid and no friction modifier is required.

Do you have any NAPA auto parts up there? My local one has the Red Line fluids I use in stock.

Yeah, we have NAPA but IDK if they carry Redline products (never seen it there)
There are other retail outlets that do carry it here.

(stupid question) Does the differential have its own drain plug or do you have to pull a cover off?
