Does Canada still have prices that change through the day, i was in vancouver a few yrs ago and the price of gas would change during the day, it was a bit weird.

It went up and down like 10 to 15 cents in a day depending on time.

Some of the larger cities in Canada seem to have a lot of competition like that. However just like the US prices will vary market by market. As far as I know it's not common. We don't see it around here.

I'm sure parts of the US have some competition and price changing too.

I was afraid to look this morning. I think last I saw was $1.21 regular, so likely it's over $1.30 for Prem. And me sitting at 1/8 of a tank.

The whole 10-15 cents up/down in a day thing doesn't seem to happen here in Cowtown.

Prem tends to be about 10 cents more than reg here, I think. I get 7 cents off after the lovely wife buys groceries at Safeway, so that's at least a small break.

Did some quick number crunching and I found out that the difference for me between 1$ and 1.5$ of petrol is ~1200$/y. Which is pretty much one solid week in south beach flying out of buffalo.

At what point do we start reallly thinking hard about trading in the g for a civic? 3, 4, 5 ...never?
