Whent to a performance shop in town asking for HF Cats for my G35 sedan, he told me they are all universal and suggested Magnaflow I have aftermarket headers and thought there was a specific style of HFC for the G is this true can I use a universal or should I look for one specific to my car what are your thoughts?
Also what should I expect to pay for a rear section exhaust HKS, or Borla?

They are not all universal. There are HFC's specificly for the G. The universal ones mean they need to cut and weld. The ones for the G are simply unscrew the stock cats and bolt on the HFC's. Stay with the bolt ons. You can remove them in the future to stock easily if you decide to part out or replace them. They will cost you from $480 - 800 for new bolt on HFCs.

+1
More power. 5 times as loud therefore your car is 5 times faster. $150 and they are bolt on. TP FTW!! until you get a fat ticket in california haha.

$800.? I hope thats for the pair, $480. is a bit better but I don't know I have a guy at my work who used to work at Magnaflow, he can get me Universal ones for $70. each so I may go that route I'll have to decide.I'm NOT going test pipes Too loud, raspy noise and yes they smell, my Wife drives the car sometimes so.....

The prices are for a pair. I would look at reviews for the magnaflows before you buy. Some HFCs have a rep of not lasting too long. If they are welded on you will have a harder time if you want to go back to stock.
