Excellent review Deane, I agree with all of your points except my brakes aren't overly sensitive.
What really helped mine was the improved handling and grip after getting rid of the stock all seasons and installing the bigger wheels and Michelin PSs.

Our regular is $.10 a L cheaper than yours.
Yeah, I use Shell V-Power 91 myself and it cost me $1.44/L earlier this week. The prices are getting pretty crazy, but there really isn't much we can do about it. I average 620-650 KMs per tank on every day driving. I drive very conservative about 98% of the time too. I have gotten as high at 749 KMs on one tank last year on an all highway trip to northern NB. You can actually get some decent mileage on the G on the highway. City driving really sucks it back in a big way though.

Excellent mileage Shane,
I agree that if a lot of driving is done in the city our mileage goes for the shiznitts.

+1; Those are some great numbers Shane!!
I've never been one to check mileage... but I know it hurts to be filling up the F-150 as a DD these days.

I typically never have been in the past either. My 03 G didn't have all the DTE, L/100 Km, etc information that my 07 does so it makes it easier now and I'm more aware of my mileage. It's almost like a game to me now to keep my L/100 KM number as low as possible.

Thanks Wayne. That was just a quick report on my impressions. The brakes weren't really bad but just much more touchy when tapping at low speeds like a parking lot. I had an EX for a day a couple of weeks ago. It was similar to the G but slightly less powerful and had more body roll. Suspension felt a tad more harsh too. It also feels smaller inside?

No doubt your changes make a nice difference on the handling.

That sounds good Shane. I'm not sure what my kms were on my best mileage but it worked out to 31.75 mpg. That would work out to about 867 kms to dry for full tank. On our trip last year I hit that same number on my best tank. I only ever check mine on trips but I know it is way less in town. I usually fill up between 350- 375kms but that's before the light comes on. I rarely ever let my car go down to the light.

Our premium is 145.7 now and reg is 138.7

Sam, we're actually at 135.7 now for regular. Ours went down 3 cents this week. Gas regulators here work in a strange way.

Deane, I take exception to you using the term "working" when you talk about Gas Regulators, unless you are referring to a mechanical device. Maybe some trading regulators ( futures ) or some Oil Industry Regulators should start working. Mind you, they may be mechanical devices as well. Having had my rant, I believe in the law of supply and demand. But, wtf. record profits, charging for the future replacement cost based on industry slanted assumptions. Last in first out costing .... BS. Let em make the money and then tax it back ...... to pay for ..... better stop now. Gotta fill up the lawn mower. Good thing it takes reg.

When I went down to New York in 6th gear going about 110-120 km/h I got about 700-720km to a tank, which I thought was amazing, however all highway.

My bad Sam. I shouldn't have referred to those bureaucrats as working. We all know that's an overstatement and I didn't mean to offend you.

I'm a free enterpriser at heart. Yeah, the industry is making a lot of dough. People need to own those companies doing well. Right now I've got a little over 10% of my total portfolio invested in the energy sector. If you can't beat 'em ...join 'em.
