I'm skeptical that any of this will work but doing nothing is VERY cost effective...
I find this kind of stuff very annoying. BS

They were just starting on that with me this morning and it ended quickly.

Anyone else have problems with NewTek pads?
I put the Wagner Thermo Quiet brake pads on my coupe and so far no issues.

Yeah, these have to go with the car if I sell it. I'm in no rush to sell the car anyway since it's the summer. I listed it figuring if I want to upgrade to the G35x the summer is probably the better time to do it.

Although, I'm still in shock over how much this car has depreciated. If I don't get my price, I think I will just keep what I have and put chains on the tires.

Update... to brake problems

Just in case anyone else ends up with this same problem, I figured I should update this thread. In the end, the squeaking noise in reverse and the scraping noise i heard when turning right was caused by the plate in front of the passenger side rotor being on too tight! My mechanic fixed this and all is GOOD and QUIET!

My neighbours are probably happy not to hear me leaving my driveway in the mornings and I am sooooooo happy not to be embarassed every time I have to reverse.

Problem solved.

Good stuff I'm glad you got it straightened out.
Boy it must have been loud if the neighbors could hear it

Yeah, nice to hear BBSam.

I'm going to pick up my car now to see if they finally eliminated my roaring sound when it's cold out. It's also been 8k since my last alignment so we'll see how it works now after these adjustments.

That is great to hear but I am wondering if my problem might be different then yours. I do not have a scrapping noise when turning; only the loud, screech for the first reverse in the car or after I wash it. I wonder what it could be and I don't feel like taking it to the stealership to just get the run around. FWIW I got it to go away for a week after doing a steady brake from 100 MPH (closed conditions ) as recommended from another poster somewhere on this board.
