Transmission Fluid Change for 6MT

My car was broken into in the past which is why I no longer have my owner’s manual to check for reliable info. Can anyone please tell me when the TRANSMISSION FLUID needs to be changed for a 2005 6MT.
I contacted the dealer and one dealer told me at 48,000KM and another dealer told me at 96,000KM.

Can anyone please confirm for me as I have 43,000KM at this point.

Thanks,

Thanks for the reply God|ZIlla168.

Do you normally take it into the dealer to get it done? They are asking $150 plus tax to get this done. Is that way to much?

If you decide to do it yourself having access to a lift will make it a lot easier, but even if you don't it's been done on jack stands as well. There's a great DIY video series posted up by a user "BYTHABAY".

Yeah that's why I said it "could" be done on stands but if you have a lift at your service (or one someone will let you use) then the job is actually really easy.

Thanks for all the replys folks.

Do you normally change the Rear Diff oil as well when you change the Tranny oil?

I went to the dealer yesterday and spoke with a mechanic and he said "you don't need to change the oil on the 6MT cars at all until you reach 98K but the dealer tells you to change the oil anyways since the auto ones need to be changed at 48K.

Auto you must 6MT you dont thats what he told me.

Is this true?

Yeah I do both at the same time, I've im going to be rolling under the car I'd rather do as much as I can at once.

I track my car so I feel Im harder on it which is why I change fluids more often...

Yeah, I'm tired of it too. It's too hard trying to work under there and probably not 100% safe.
