I got the HKS, and I know a friend who had the stillen, the difference is that the stillen one has more droning noise

Not sure if you meant it, but I equate 'noise' to an unpleasant 'sound.'

I am also looking into an exhaust system, and any reason to justify upgrading.

HKS is loud as *****. The stillen is a lower sounding stock sound. One of the best sounding exhaust IMO. (fast intentions, greddy, stillen )

If you want an exhaust that does not have much droning during everyday driving you may want to consider the Borla, sounds nice at WOT.

Can't you get some nice HFC's or some non-resonated test pipes to eliminate the drone?..or would that eliminate rasp?

No way I think HKS has the best sound unless you go to the amuse is even better. To each their own, I know lots of people loves the way the HKS sound and has even chase me down the highway just to tell me that. Every time i WOT i get a big smile

I've got the Gen 1 Stillen on my 05 sedan MT sedan. Let's just say, I love the way it sounds. Nice and throaty at low to mid rpm's. It get's nice and raspy/snarly when you're shifting around 4-5000rpm. I absolutely love it.

i heard a 2nd gen sedan with the stillen, and for some reason it sounded horrrrrible, when it got to the upper RPM range, it was SO loud and it sounded like someone was having an insane fart..i know the 1st gen stillen for the sedan doesn't sound like that at all..

no it was the new g35 sedan with dual exhausts on each end, and he had a big fat sticker on the back that said stillen... Maybe it's a fake?
