Mine fit direct bolt in no additional wiring required..but my car is a US model.

The rewiring is for day light running lights

So you could do direct plug in but DRL won't work?

no the drl will not work and when you signal it will not work but instead turn your high on or something.

My signal lights worked fine with no additional wiring other than the DRL.

Does anyone know how to do the re-wire? I got a bit of the schematic but I am still confused on how to wire in the 5 pin relays.

Direc tbolt in. Just swap your ballast over and wellah!

They need to be rewired for DRL in Canada.
