I'd love to see that front end in person though;
those headlights don't photograph too well from some angles.
100% correct, in person the nex FX is simply beautiful. Photos dont do the 09 FX any justice. Last Wednesday I had a chance to test drive the new FX35 and there are some very obvious improvents to the new model.

Interior, suspension, drive train, you name it its been improved. I enjoyed my test drive so much I am contemplating trying to find someone to take over the lease on my 07. Only thing I did not like about the new FX is the exhaust note, it is less FXish and a little more BMWish. My 07 sounds better to me even though the 09 is a true dual set up.

Sounds great... & the reason for no more test drives for me.
My little DD is going to have to do for a couple of years.

I've been tempted to go take some test drives just for fun, but same thing, if a drive something nice I will probably just want it. I'll drive the ole sedan for a few years to come.

I saw the new FX at Willowdale Infiniti. These cars are not photogenic at all...it looked really nice up close. It was in black - gave it the perfect stealthy look.

I saw a review of one on Motoring and was thinking it'd make a decent commuter. Nice choice.

I was really surprised with it.
Not a lot of power; similar to a Civic but comes in lower.
& handling is surprisingly entertaining.
It'll do nicely as a DD for the time being.

Very nice Ian. I did see a thread where you commented on it but must have missed the part where said you got one. I had a peek at one at a dealer and was impressed with it for the $.

I think it was a different thread from that one......
I also looked at a Civic & Subie.
I just couldn't get used to that HUGE windshield & picnic table dash in the Civic.
In combination with the digital readouts, I felt like I was driving a video game.

The base Subie Intergra left me really flat... didn't like it at all.
The full time AWD sucks up way too much power;
handling was unimpressive with lots of body roll.
Gas mileage was no he11 either.

Wow, your thoughts mirror mine. I was poking around a bit but we've decided to roll with the Sunfire for a few more years. There are some fantastic prices and 0% financing etc that are hard to resist.
