Oil Consumption Test, Which Dealer

So during my last oil change i started to fill my 4.5qt jug of my used oil to find that it only filled about 1qt. after some researching i found that i may have an oil consumption problem.

has anyone brought there car for the test? if you did where did you bring it?

im thinking oakville infiniti or 401 dixie

+1 for Oakville. I've taken my car there, and they've always been helpful and haven't tried to fleece me (even though I have a a US car). They fixed my A/C under warranty, no questions asked. And from my conversations with their service reps, it looks like they've fixed a few G/Zs with the oil consumption issue.

of those 2 options... i would go to oakville. i had nothing but problems when i used to go to dixie/401... although i've heard they finally let go of that mike "jerk-off" service manager.. so maybe things are different now.

Wow, that's a major amount of oil to be down. How often do you check it?

If you don't have leaks your "may" sounds like a "do". That isn't as common with the '04's however. Is it an auto or MT?

G/L with assistance from a dealer one of the local guys can suggest.

My thought as well.....
Unusual for an '04, most problems started with the Rev-up.

^ Mine didn't use any with Mobil 1. I switched to German Castrol 0W30 and it used about .25 liter in 5100 k on my last change a few weeks ago, about the same as the previous one.

There are a few folks on the board who have 03 and 04's that had consumption problems.
