bump, I didn't get a message back from G35 dude, does anyone else know what he's talking about ???
all I'm trying to do is fix my hyperblinking issue, I don't care for the complete DRL swap. He says it's a simple fix by rewiring the grounded wires on the headlights, can someone please explain to me in detail because I need to do this ASAP!
thanks
Go to the web page I posted and all will be explained there but you must not be lazy and skip over to the final diagram as you did. What you want is in the third diagram which is the 2006 headlight with the grounds rewired, the signal and city light grounds are moved to the same grounding point as the HID which matches the wiring on the 2003 headlights.

Re-routing the ground wires is a cinch and all you have to do is the driver side light.
1. cut ground off city light
2. cut ground off turn signal light
3. connect both city light and turn signal ground wires together (you will need to extend the wire off the city light to reach the turn signal ground)
4. connect the city/turn ground to the HID ballast ground (you will need to slice off the rubber coating on the wire)
I soldered all my connections because I don't feel like doing it again!
is the city light also the drl or is it the h1 fog?
or do they both light up (during the day)?
The DRL and High beam were using the same bulb (DRL was at about 50% power), on the 06 headlights the high beams are no longer another set of lights, they are solenoids. Yeh its a problem if you need your DRL working. Without rewiring the DRL module sends power to the high beam solenoid.
2006 and latter G35's the DRL is with the fogs, too bad the first generation weren't also done this way.
I have also been questioned about how can moving the ground wires to another grounding point fix the hyper blinking issue.
It works because of the DRL module intercepting most of the headlight wiring including the ground wires, moving the grounding point redirects the path around the DRL module and fixes the problem.
It works, no BS.

^thanks, wondering if its possible to re-wire it so the DRL is disabled but still be able to use fogs when switched on
The high beam is also the DRL. The fogs are not an issue with the headlight upgrade and work as they did before, the DRL and the high beam are the problem along with changing around some grounding to fix hyper blinking of the signals.
If your asking about being able to turn the fog lights on without your headlight also being on I am sure it can be done. I haven't tried to figure it out yet and probably won't.

Just installed the projectors and I don't have any problems with the left signal so do I need to do this mod still? Also, I noticed my DRLs aren't working anymore but I'll get to that some other time. I also have projectors that came off a Canadian G35.
Would be cool to turn on the fogs with having the headlights on.
Recently i bought the passenger side 06 projector(canadian) in canada, but couldnt find the driver side. So i had to buy the driver side in the states.
The problem was, there is a loud buzz from the drl module box and that the passenger side lights up dimmer than the driver side. And on the driver side blinker it lights up but dim.
As you can see driverside is brighter. He said that he follow all the instructions and that it might be the drl module box.
Also, back then when i had my reflectors, one side was off and it was to do with the drl module. So i got it resoldered and it worked.
What do you guys think?
Oh and i dont have the hyperblinking problem.
