Hand wash is definitely the way to go as anything else (and even some hand washes for that matter) will introduce new scratches into the paint. Even though they may be really faint, light scratches, the shine of the paint surface diminishes as they accumulate.

Mobile car washes are becoming increasingly popular. My own company, North Toronto Car Wash and Detailing, visits sites around Toronto to provide our service just about anywhere. We even provide our own water and electricity. There's an option to book online at NorthTorontoCarWash.com.

Some things to keep in mind when choosing a hand wash:

-If your car goes through a tunnel only to be dried by hand you are putting your vehicle through the same risks as any automated wash
-Make sure the operators are using ONLY microfiber towels. These are by far the safest and most effective option available.
-Any car wash that uses a bristled brush, such as coin operated self serve bays, are guarenteed to introduce new scratches into the pain. Avoid at all costs.

i know this is a down town car wash but for some dollars supreme auto bath in bathurst and finch is hand wash and very detailed cleaning.

Your link takes us to the car wash at Leslie and Sheppard...not Bathurst and Finch. There is no car wash at that intersection.

 

To beat on a dead horse, there's also this new 'hip' car wash service called Washly that I tried. They come to you and ordering takes 10 seconds via their site. Everything is automated and its really neat. Quality is on par with a detail job and their pricing is just right. Check em out via washly.com
