Getting *slip slip* with winter tires??

Hey all just on my winters, blizzaks on 17's with lots of tread, on my 2003 g35 coupe.

Sometimes when I'm taking turns on ramps, my car starts to slip showing "slip slip" on gauges, I'm not even taking the turn really fast......

I've driven on these winters twice for 2 seasons and never had this happen before.

The only difference now is that I'm on Tein Basics raised to around stock height, is it possible that camber is causing this problem??

Thanks

I doubt it bro. It's probably lack of traction on the 'dry' pavement using course treaded snows, along with a slick buildup from oils, dirt, and the like on ramps over the summer months, and of course the habits you get into over the good months whilst driving with sticky summer tires in hot weather.

With decent weather expected in the next few weeks, be especially careful with the snows on.
Might just be a tad early for snows yet..

^^ + 1 !

i usually don't throw my snow's on till the daily high's are around 7 or lower, which usually happens sometime in november.

this time of year is when i wish i had a third set of tires, being allseasons, it's getting too cool at night for the summers, and too hot during the day for the winters...
well, at least the over night lows are starting to come back up to the double digits, and i'm bussing it most days, so i shouldn't have to worry bout it too much...

but yeah, time to readjust driving habits, but at least it'll start to be more fun, with the cooler weather comes more power and less grip (:
(11hp with current conditions (: )

What size tires? Have you changed the front to back ratios?

I was wondering the same thing as you Deane, but then he said he has already had these winters on for two previous years with no issues. Thats why I think it is the tires just losing traction on the ramps rather than the wrong tire diameters affecting the vdc.
