With the sun shining brightly, and temperatures around 17 DegC;
it was just tooooo nice to stay stuck inside today..... so we went for a little drive & a hike.

We took some of my favorite roads through the Hockley valley.
...we ended up at Mono Center where we jumped onto the Bruce trail for a spectacular hike.

Just a few pics from a perfect Thanksgiving weekend day.
Makes you pause & reflect on the many thinks we have to be thankful for this weekend.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!!!

(had to get shot with the G in it)

& the trail...

^ Awesome pics Ian, you just gotta love the fall colors.

My day consisted of going to a wedding in St. Martins along the ocean.

Wow, looks like a real nice time Ian. Thanks for the great shots, just beautiful. The fall colours are always so nice around the Hockley Hills area.

Actually we are having our big Turkey Dinner tomorrow with family at our house.
On Monday Karen and I had planned on taking a run up to Sauble Beach, then Wiarton and up to Tobermory. It's always nice on that route.
Next year you and P have to join us on that run sometime.

......
The Hockley Valley area is near Orangevile (N/E).
The roads I took are part of the tour we did last year.
...it's buried in here somewhere.

as for the hike?
.....here's the section we did, starting from Mono Center.

...about the Bruce Trail. & some fabulous pics here.

^+1 Sam!

Glorious pictures Ian. Sounds like a great day!

Yesterday evening on the drive to my parents place we had a dark sky above but bright setting sun. It was truly stunning driving along seeing the brilliant trees with sun highlighting them in near full glory. I wish I had my camera with me.

Sorry in advance if I'm posting too many pics, but I'm just loving this Thanksgiving weekend.

....A glorious Sunday morning, & coffee on the front porch

Kylie seems to be enjoying the weather too.

You guys have far more foliage left than we have. Pretty bare here already. Damn the wind, our fall lasts about 5 minutes.

This is some of the nicest fall weather we've had in years.
25°C & sunny is forecast for tomorrow.

Ian, you've got a such beautiful property. It looks like you have tons of privacy as well, very nice!

While we haven't had temps in the mid 20s like you have, it's been upper teens the for just about the entire month so far. Our falls are usually very nice here in the Maritimes and this one has been no exception. Ever since the beginning of September or so, it's been sunny almost every day.

We didn't have it quite that warm, but I was out in the yard for half the day in just shorts and sandals. I even managed to put a coat of Wheelwax on my wheels early this morning.
Just beautiful out.
Hope on going for a nice run tomorrow.
