Time for my pics from Thangsgiving day cruise.

We left mid morning and headed the the Bruce Peninsula as far as Tobermory.

We took some winding back roads and stopped for a coffee by the channel at Southamton on Lake Huron.

We then continued on and went through Sauble Beach (I posted pics of it last year) and continued on by Sauble Provincial Park and Sauble Falls. Had a small walk in the Park. Nice colours and it is always pretty here, saw a few chinook salmon on their spawning run.

From there we drove to Colpoys Bay on Georgian Bay, love this spot.

From there we headed to Lion's Head on Georgian Bay. Saw this trail going into the bush so we went for it, spent an our in the bush, had a real problem turning around to get back out. Also good thing the car is not dropped.

We arrived at Lions Head, stopped by their Harbour., a beautiful spot that is flanked on one side by Limestone bluffs.
We had a picnic there (turkey and dressing sandwiches, yum )

Continued on towards Tobermory, Stopped for a bit of off-roading at Crane River, AWD and PS All Seasons saved me, by clawing up a moss covered hill.
Tobermory is a beautiful big harbour, where there are dive shops charter boats and many beautiful things to see.

Stopped and visited friends who just built a new house near Tobermory. Had a drink of course.
Left Tobermory and started the drive home. The clouds were beautiful and the sun was starting to set, we decided to take a side road to a remote Inn on Stokes Bay. It is in the middle of no where and is called Tamarac Inn. We had a nice dinner and left.

We drove the back roads by small lakes to the shores of Lake Huron. The sky and colours of the clouds were unbelievable. You can understand why National Geographic has said we have some of the nicest sunsets in the world.

Sorry if I overdid it with the pics but I only showed a 1/4 of them.We had a great day, We absolutely love these runs.

Great pictures, Wayne. Your sunset shots are amazing.

We did a 5 day trip up the Bruce a couple of summers ago, although for us it's a whole day just to get to the peninsula. Beautiful country, and a very relaxing drive.

Thanks so much everyone and Bill you can see in the earlier pics the cloud formations that help to make those pics so neat with the setting sun. Karen and I were mesmerized by the beauty of the sunset, it was even more amazing in person.

Thanks Randy.
Yes there have been a few caught here in the river and river mouth. Nothing major though.
Hope you and S are settled in your new place all nice and comfy now .
