That's a good question and I think it's a bit of a moving target. It started out with fixing the countries problems and improving world security. Now I think it is evolving more to what 350Zed has described, as leaders and military experts recognize the challenges.
Honestly, although there is progress I'm not really confident it will ever end or "be won".
I'm not really a fan of any of the leaders or parties either. To me it's more a choice of the lesser of several evils. I'm actually more okay with the Conservatives than with Harper.
