The Z-tube and filter are very easy to do yourself. I personally would stick with a "dry type" filter. Sometimes if the K&N is over oiled when cleaning, there could possibly be problems with the MAF sensor.

Nissan/Infiniti would have to prove that it was the aftermarket part that caused the problem...thus voiding your warranty. Otherwise you would be fine. They might have issues with the spacer but there are a few dealerships that are ok with it such as Oakville Infiniti.

I'm using a Amsoil drop in filter in my sedan.

The z-tube and spacer are available in the marketplace section. You have to keep an eye out for then as they move quickly. The z-tube is available for $50 - $75.

Otherwise you can get a spacer directly from Tony at Motordyne. He has a website.

Looks like AEM does sell dry filters...sorry that I'm not familiar with them.
