Wow Ian, quite a story. Woke up early Sun. morning and decided to take care of N's Van wrt winters. Went to Crappy tire at 7 am., was first in line and they had it back to me at 4:00 pm. $30. They had 24 changeovers from the day before.

Yeah, Colin... it was almost surreal, the way things happened.
But all is good now...
I have my truck back too, they said it was just the rear brake lines that were gone.
I had them do all new brake lines from the master cylinder out...
no sense fooling around when it comes to safety.

It took about 15km before my TPMS light came on driving to work this morning. It blinked for a few seconds then stayed on. I was beginning to wonder when it would come on.
TPMS warning tripped/turned on in 15kms? My friggin car took 15 DAYS (well almost: Nov 3 to Nov 17) to realize I had the winter wheels on. In my case, winter and summer wheels have TPMS. It took about the same time to come on with the summer swap too. Makes me wonder if the TPMS would take that long to recognize a leaky tire.

I recently had a leaky RR tire which lost about 7lbs every couple days. The TPMS light came on without fail each time and when I checked what the pressure had dropped down too it was always near 27psi. I think it works well from my point of view.

I will, still thinking about it, if anything, it'll be some time next year. Got to think about if it's the right time, etc...
