The wife and I have been looking for an SUV She likes that new Chrysler Aspen based off a Durango. I am anti domestics I had 3 GMC/Chevs in a row that were garbage in 94 I had a new mustang the guys at the Ford service department new me by name I was there so often. So I dont really think I would buy a domestic although I saw a used 06 Denali for $30k and a 06 Escalade for $45 that peaked my interest at that price. I think it will be an Armada/QX56 or possibly a Pathfinder for us the only advantage the big three have right now is they are cheap to buy.

Sure, I'd buy one if they have one that appealed to me more than an import. Until now there really haven't been any American cars that have, though. I try to stay open minded; I'm lucky because I get to see a lot of cars up close - but for at least the last ten years domestics just haven't had the right mix of performance, build quality, and reliability for me. I do like the look and interior of the new CTS, and the V looks like it'll be a heck of a performer, so we'll see on that one.

I like vettes a lot for the performance value, but the interior quality and overall build quality do leave me a but underwhelmed.

I did a lot of looking for trucks this year and I will say there are some good domestic trucks.

If it wasn't so true, it'd be funny.

Thumbs down American Vehicles

Hi i have owned a Dodge Ram 2500 TD 5spd. Ilove the thing but the^problem i have with all these bail outs to the big 3 is they got themselves into there own pickle, if they would have built good vehicles and not buy cheap crappie parts they wouldnt be in there mess...

My parent drives a Lincoln Navigator.
at first I felt kinda odd since i came from an asian family.
and from my experiences, typical asians drive small cars (easy to park in city and eco)

So its funny when my mom (yes she did) choose this HUGEEEE ride.
and personally i LOVE it ,too. very comfortable as a family car.

I would love to have these HUGE american cars, like LINCOLN or CADILLAC for the family ride in the future when i am "OLDER" and PIMP IT!!!!

....if i can afford it .

one thing that i miss about the "big american car", was the presence on the road, people got out of the way on the highway, ceded right of way when due, etc. in the G i'm basically ignored on the road.

not to mention the fuel economy was better in a heavier car with a 4.6V8

I used to have two GM's in the driveway, now it's the G and a Toyota. The last vehicle was my personal donation to GM ($27K depreciation after only 100K miles on a minivan, it was in a desparate state), good to see that they are getting more donations, NOT!
Shortsighted policies driven by bean counters. I rent vehicles quite a bit, and I'd have to say it feels great to get into the G when I get home. Pontiacs are just awful, and others have so many things that don't work properly even though they are brand new. Makes me think they push em out to make their numbers, no matter what the consequence.
So, no, I don't foresee buying a North American vehicle in my lifetime at this point.
