GTA Tireshops VS Online for summer tires
hi guys, i have done search but couldnt really find out exactly the answer to my question.
My question is, since after tomorrows G road test (hope i pass:P) I dont need to use my BSA rims and winter tires anymore\(I can sell them if interested).I was wondering if i can get a good deal for a summer tires for my stock 18s ,since noone crazy like me would look for a summer tire right now.
This is my first tire buying in Canada (newbie) , I was wondering which brand and where i can get good summer tires are good for my 2003 coupe ?. Something good for performance and durable(which doesnt wear off quickly) and where? I live in GTA but willing drive extra miles too for a good deal.
What do you guys suggest based on your experience?
Thank you so much again for your valuable opinions!!!

I recommend the Toyo Proxes T1-R. Very solid tire for the price, good wear, low road noise. The tires also handle well at high speeds and even in the rain (although I've never gone faster than 150 km/h). I picked my set of 19's up for $1200 in Richmond, B.C.
The type of tire you will like will probably depend on your driving style. I myself am a occasionally spirited driver (quick acceleration, hard through soft turns) when nobody else is looking (no burn outs, squeeling tires around turns or any of that junk)!
As for buying online, try tirerack.com, or 1010tires.com. Whether you buy them online or in person will probably come down to availability and price (as long as you have a dependable install guy).

Mustafa, everyone's criteria for tires are different. Check out tirerack (a US company) for reviews and tests. They list ratings such as wear, performance, noise etc. It is a great site to learn from. They are here: http://www.tirerack.com/index_w.jsp
Many people in Canada order from them and find even with shipping, brokerage fees etc. they are cheaper. You can get a quote through that site and you can compare to tire shops in your area.
Personally I like Michelins, but they are a bit pricey.
One tire I have heard many good comments about are the Falken FK-452, they would be worth checking out.

Sumitomo HTR ZIII Are getting great reviews.
Pricing is a bargain compared to the tires it was tested against.
I'm thinking about giving them a try next time instead of PS2s

That tire looks pretty good, I wonder where and when they will become available in Canada?

IDK for sure but I'm betting you could get them through Steelecase as well.
Otherwise, there's always Tirerack & have them shipped, or....
Ship to Buffalo, drive over, get them installed & drive back.
e.g. staggered 18's for my car
Tirerack; shipped to the door:
-$866 US -all in, taxes brokerage, & shipping
= $1087 CDN (+install)
Pretty damn good for Max perf. summer tires.
