LOL... All it would need is a cherry on top.

I just noticed a white C class on the road...the roof is black...now I'm not sure if I can do that with my 335. I don't want it to look like a Merc. Eww.

I haven't seen it and can't imagine why anyone would want that.

To me a lot of the appeal of the roof wrap is the continuity of the windshield and rear window tint matching the black wrap.

That's sth that I wanted to do for long.. I even got my own overlay for over 2 years... just never got around to do that.

Ian, would you mind sharing with us the cost of installation & the material for the roof overlay?

The car looks really nice Ian. If I had a white or silver ride I might do this too.

What do you mean EWW? Have you seen the new M3 with CF roof?
You mean your 335 might look like an M3...

I've heard that there was insane discounts on the M3 ($15 - 20K)
But it was strictly cash & carry.

15% below MSRP and 1% financing. Unfortunately only cabrios left when I was shopping. Friend of mine picked up a sedan with those terms though.

So I called 3M Trimline today to get just the roof wrapped on my coupe, went sorta like this:
Me: Hi, I would like to get the roof wrapped on my G35 coupe, in gloss black.
Lady: Sure, let me just check the pricing for you.
Lady: It'll be $475
Me: O_O
Me: Uhmm.. someone on the G35 Forum got their sedan done at your shop for $350, including rear valence...
Lady: Oh, I'll brb.
Lady: Okay, that was outdated pricing, but we would still be willing to honour $350 for the roof.
Me: Okay... I'll call you back.

Yea... I'm getting it done at ShinzoWerks today for $150. They use Avery film instead of 3M, offers 7 year warranty instead of 8, and are also doing the trim strip so that the sunroof doesn't mess it up.

So yea, I'm going to Shinzo, but if any of you want it done at 3M Trimline, you should definitely play the forum card and ask them to do it for $350, because honestly... $475 is FTL

I'll post pics when it's done, but I know guys that have gotten their full cars wrapped at Shinzo, and it looked good, so I'm willing to take the risk for the massive price difference.
