Where did you take your aftermarket clutch flywheel

Hey guys I've got an ACT clutch and prolite flywheel I'm looking to install, but the dealership wants 720 +tax another dealership wants 660 +tax or something and a local nissan specialist has a hard on for Exedy clutches and gave me a spiel about how great they were. thing is I don't want a clutch that I have to stand on to shift gears.

So I was wondering where you guys took your clutch to get installed and a ball park figure. GTA only please.
I'm going to call Vic at Simone this afternoon to start.

Actually I just got my new clutch (Exedy) and flywheel (ACT Prolite) installed at Simone Performance this past Monday also had them put in Motul gear oil in the tranny. Was around $500 something plus tax just for labour on the install, the fluids were extra. I bought my clutch and flywheel from one of the vendors on the board (THMotorsports).

Shifting now is like butter, nice and smooth. The Exedy clutch is actually lighter to engage then the stock clutch for some reason and the friction point is considerably lower.

Sup Gordon,

How long was your car in the shop at Simone's?

And I'm thinking of grabbing the Exedy and ACT Prolite combo from Thmotorsports, how long did your stuff take to arrive after ordering it?

thnx

My car was at Simone's for a full day 8am-7pm, but I was also getting a bunch of other work done as well, so I couldn't really tell you how long it took for just the clutch and flywheel work.

My shipment from THmotorsports arrive in about a week, it was really quick.

My total bill was about $1200, but that included a full driveline maintenance (clutch flush, diff flush, tranny flush, power steering flush, brake fluid flush, rad flush)

How are you liking the combo?? Are you noticing any difference in your revs? how the car idles?? When the clutch is not engaged to you notice that the flywheel is a bit noisier??

So far I love the combo, feels much better than the stock clutch/flywheel.
I got the car back yesterday after work and drove home to Markham on the hwy and really haven't had a chance to break it in yet. I'm gonna put the car thru it's paces first and then give you a update.
I have noticed going into first the flywheel is a little noisier but not too noticable. Then again I haven't driven it too much, I'll give you my verdict after I break it in. But so far everything is good!

I'll chime in with a 3rd option, Speedstar http://www.speedstar.ca/index.htm
I usually deal with Frank there, and they've been really great, that's where I take my car for work I need done to it that I can't do myself.
