With the Purchase of a new set of BilStein PSS10.

They should be in Ogdensburg tomorrow and I'm stoked. I was going to get the HKS Hypermax III kit but the price went up and the more I thought about it...I want a really OEM quality street kit which can handle a half a dozen lapping days a year. When I really thought about it, I wanted good drivability and occassionally track worthiness so based on my research, this is the cat's a$$ kit.

They were pricey but I think they will be worth it in the end. I'm planning on installing them myself with a buddy,a case of Guiness and my air compressor and impact gun so I'll let everyone know how it goes and post a review when I get them on.

Thanks - if you have some time in the next little while I would really like to hear your thoughts on my brake setup and track days. When I went to some events last year I noticed my brakes were really grabbing badly in a few circumstances. If I touched them at all in a mild turn the ABS would essentially kick in and it would feel like the brakes wanted to lock up.

Just wanted to know if that was "normal". Since then I changed the fluid to Dot 4 vs. Dot 3 and I'm going to get some better pads than the Hawk HPS. Anything you can think of would be appreciated.

I run VDC off all the time, especially at the track. Otherwise the car will try and take over and that can be scary. Whats your tire setup?

You definately want DOT4.

We should get together sometime for a coffee and talk...I lent my wheels to Madelinot because he sent his out to get widened so my car is on stands in the Garage still lol

Nice setup i checked into those aswell but found them to be out of my budget and for the type of driving i need it for, I ended up ordering the Stance LX+ since everyone was saying not to go with the Megan.

Nice I have the PSS9 I love them. Not alot of guys run the Bilstiens I can say enough good about them one of my best mods to date. They may be a little soft for the track but a good all around coilover I have heard guys that track them regularly swap the progressive rear springs out to something a little stiffer

So I just literially finished putting these on. Took me better part of a week picking away at it after work and evenings.

WHAT A PAIN IN THE RECTAL CAVITY!!!!

I can't even imagine doing this without air tools, that would just be evil. I had a rear bolt that was seized in the control arm that took me 3 days and a gallon of PBBlaster to get out. I was just about to bring it to the dealer to have them cut the bushing out and replace the arm but luckily it came free and I had to use the air hammer and the impact gun to hammer it out. Even with a 450 ftlb impact gun it wouldn't budge.

I'll post up pics in a bit. I lowered the front about 1 inch (maybe a little more) and the rear about 0.5 inches. I wanted a bit of a diiference in the front and rear stance so the front is dropped a little more than the rear. I may lower the rear as there is about 1 inch of difference between the front and rear. I'll wait to see how the springs settle out in a few weeks and go get an alignment.

I haven't driven it yet since I wanted to give everything a bit of time to settle, I'll take her out in a bit and see how she feels. The quality of this kit is simply superb. It is really well built and you can just tell these guys know how to build a suspension. Everything feels nice and tight and the best part of the whole thing is BilStein support. These guys are simply awesome. I would recommend buying this kit simply based on their customer service. I called them three times and each time they answered right away and I had a tech on the phone in seconds each of whom knew exactly what they were doing.

I'll post up pics and a review later on.

How do you adjust these? Cause they don't look height adjustable from the pics. It seems like ride-height and pre-load are linked in the front, but I can't see how you would do the adjustment on the rear.

Sure - I'll send you my phone number. Yours won't be as bas as mine since mine re-use the stock upper mounts for the front and rear so I had to disassemble my old shocks. All in all if you have air tools it is quite doable but a long and painful process.
