Calgary G35 Drivers!

Hey everyone! I got my G35 last August, it's a 2004 IP ATM Coupe and I love it! Who else is from Calgary and what mods do you have done on your vehicles? I am looking to get my Gordgee hyper grounding kit installed, along with a 5/16" MD Plenum Spacer, and Z-Tube intake with K&N drop-in air filter.

Can anyone recommend good shops in Calgary to get some motor work done?

Welcome and Congrats on the IP my favorite color. Do want motor work? Or a few bolt ons installed ie spacer, CAI and grounding kit? Big difference any one could install the spacer, CAI actual motor work i would trust to very few. If you wanted your parts installed we should make a Saturday get together I think Swivel Hips (from Calgary) was still looking to get a few things installed as well. The work could be done at my place in Sylvan Lake the things you listed are very easy to install.

If you want a shop I have never used Speedtech in Calgary but they have a good rep and i have seen there work it looks good. Personally i only take my car to Lightspeed Innovations in RedDeer they have experience with these cars they did Red35 and my twin turbo kits and a few superchargers as well.

Thanks guys, we should definitely try to organize a G35 meet for the Calgary and surrounding area. Perhaps, when it's nice outside, we can drive up to Banff and swing by Sylvan Lake too.

A mod meet would sound kinda cool too! My buddy is setting up a "Meat and Mods" day sometime this month! Bring your own beef, and your tools too, haha!

As for the bolt-ons, I am not too mechanically inclined, but I do change my fluids myself...maybe the plenum spacer would be a good challenge for me!

For sure if you want to do it at the same time as Swivel hips I have done spacers before its not that hard! If Dustin(red35) is around he has done one before so there would be a couple guys to help out.

Thanks for offering Sylvan, it's nice to see some friendly Albertans here
And to Swivel too for offering his oil pump! I picked one up from PartSource and it's pretty good...lots of tubing to work with.

Hey Sylvan, I see your G is twin turbo'd....how does it run?? Was it a costly investment??

I'll do this in two parts
The Albertans on this board are the best group of car guys i have met> I have had a Mustang and a DSM that i was heavily involved in both scenes and the G35 drivers are hands down the best guys i have come across

My can dosen't run nothing happened or blew up I get asked that often. I have/had a Jim Wolf 530bb kit on my stock block with 400whp and it ran great for 2years but I just decided i needed more power. So I am in the middle of building a higher horsepower set up. Progress can be seen in this thread https://g35driver.com/forums/forced-...i-pec-ems.html

As far as cost my original set up was about $15,000 for the kit ,install and the supporting mods. My new set up lets just say if my wife had any idea I would be single and parting the car out to pay alimony

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to the g35 scene here and am also from Calgary up in Tuscany in the NW. I've had my g for about a year now and have been slowly progressing with a few mods. Just installed full 05 350z suspension struts/shocks.. on all four corners as well as a JWT popcharger and some misc other little stuff... nothing too crazy..YET! I"m Currently searching for a good choice for rims but am pretty undecided. I Might actually just have my OEM 18's powdercoated somewhere and call it a day. Anyways, hit me up if you guys want to meet up, would love some advice on the G from some Vets!
later..

There is/was talk of having an Alberta/BC meet somewhere near the boarder. The BC guys have same awsome cars Nitrouz said he would try to come with his GT-R and see if he get his old twin turbo 420Z to come as well it would be worth the drive to see those two cars.

Definitly would be worth to see those fine machines in action. Not too mention your new and improved G35 speed racer
