should I change my oil brand?

My coupe now has about 140, 000 kms on it and I was wondering if I should still be buying the same oil (MOBIL 1 synthetic 5w-30) or should I go with something for engines that are older??? ...or should I be changing the oil sooner than 6000k? What do you guys think?

Stick with it.

Just so I don't make a new thread...

This is going to be the first car that I'm doing the work on as my last car was just ti get me around until I got the G (still loved it to death)

Also the first car that's going to run synthetic, what do you guys recommend brand wise? I know Royal Purple is a pretty epic name but is it worth the cash?

Lastly, roughly how many liters go into this car?

Personally I would use Amsoil 5W30, but the problem is, it is not readily available for me. So my next choice is Mobil 1 5W30 which I can purchase locally at many places. So that is what I am presently using in my G.
The oil capacity with a filter is just under 5 liters.

4DGS - Running Amsoil 0W30 here. Exactly 5 quarts with filter change.

Burnt - 6000km on synth is okay. I run mine 6,000 - 10,000km. Just do a filter change halfway unless you are using an Amsoil filter too.

Synth is good for any engine, and Q is probably as good as any dino oil. among dinos I think Castrol tested very well. Read all about oil from Bob. He is The Oil Guy:
