Exclamation orange cover over bulbs. ugly but nissan thinks its awesome

Hey guys,

been so busy with my tints/electrical... experienced some crazy things tonight...

before i begin... these are the little orange covers nissan uses over the bulbs to make them the yellow color... some of the buttons have tint on them which need to be sanded down in order to change the color (gauges, etc.)

also, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE WITHOUT YOUR GAUGES!!! The car will not charge the battery and it will eventually stop on you. The gauges give the car tach info in order for the alternator to properly charge the battery with the proper current... and without it.. the alternator will cease to function.

after some trial and error + several boosts (thanks to Mister_C member here), my buddy told me that the gauges were the problem. i'm in the process of changing them to the 06-07 customized .. which is why i needed to drive around without them. thanks for listening.. hope this helps for those that don't already know.

you can get the odo programmed at the dealership to match the ecu.

?? are you talking about having the right clicks programmed by the dealer when a new cluster is installed? ... if that is what you meant, WHY? lol....

and regarding the 06-07 gauge conversion, its not a direct swap, you will need to have the wires customized and the bezel as well.... i'm having it done by Tom (member here, located in the states) ...

as for the interior, i will be doing that with my friends at the carshop to make sure it fits properly.

will keep you guys updated with pictures once they are available
