For those wondering about my situation... it's still "up in the air" but I should have an update perhaps by the end of this week.

In terms of cost to repair... it's pricey, the valve cover alone is around $350 per side. If you just need one side repaired you are looking at about $1000 at the dealer, both sides... closer to $1500.

Maybe but im not the type of person that does it himself, too much stress for me most of the time when something goes wrong.
