Rotors may be warped

Those guys at Guelph are great to deal with. They also ordered new door weatherstripping and the adhesive to fix them under the TSB.
I suppose I helped my cause by including the TSB numbers in my email yesterday.
Oh...and I got my lifetime free oil change while I was there
Cheers!
When I dealt with them I found them stand up as well.

Good to hear they're taking care of you, Paul, they should for all the times you've had to go in for this issue.
I have a bit of pulsing, too, and have been debating having the rotors turned versus just taking them off, mounting them up to my drill press, and spinning them while using some garnet paper to remove the cementite deposits that are the likely cause. I've had new Wagner pads sitting around for a year or two.

Glad to hear all worked out and Ian awesome information!
Not too long ago I found out that my cross drilled rotors were warped so I decided to get rid of them and go back to normal ones. Just wasn't worth it especially the headaches it was causing me and me getting into lapping I wanted to make my brake system was good

Well, I took my car in today, apparently I need new brake pads and rotors.
At 65,000 km, I can understand the new pads.
But new rotors I have difficulty with.
Nissan Guelph says there were 'hot spots' on the rotors causing the rotors, and the TSB's you get on the internet are not official.
Does my mileage exclude any work being done under warranty? The service girl says it only applies to under 20,000 kilometres.

You didn't tell us what is wrong with your brakes. If it's just worn out brakes then it's your expense.
If it's judder or squealing there are official TSB's for the problem(s). The judder TSB makes no mention of a limit to how many km may be on the existing brakes.

The TSB online are official. I show them (usually Mike or Kathy) a printed copy of each TSB before we get very far into the 'what needs to be done' conversation. When they know, that I know, what I'm talking about things go very well.

The girl at the desk did let on she looked into pushing the rotors through warranty, but they are too worn. I think if the problem had come up a year or so earlier things would be different. Just not very impressed right now with having to replace rotors....time to start shopping around, the quote was $1,100 from the dealership, and I'm not so sure I want to put the same stuff back on. Anyone with suggestions in Guelph/KW area, I'm all ears.
